TF High Chapter 7: I'm sorry I don't understand your Transformation

"I don't get it," Brandi Hound; Travis Fortmasion High's K9-reporter announced. Like many others at the school she had been changed into an animal hybrid, but no one knew why. Brandi suspected it was due to GeneCorp; the privately owned genetics company, dumping an unknown, and unreported substance nearby which; she thought, had effected the school's water supply somehow. But there was a problem with her theory.

"Nelly, Coline, and the three J's never did come into contact with the school's water, so why did they transform?" "I'm not sure," Peggy; who was rather hot and incredibly intelligent for a pig, began to say. "Coline, can you think of anything that might have changed you?" Coline who had been changed from drama queen teen, into a composite cow thought for a minute.

"Well you said that you thought the transformations might be because of the water right? I did take a drink from my water bottle right before I changed." "Was the water from the school?" Brandi asked. "No I brought it from home my parents like to buy bottled spring water. They say it's better for the body."  "Well that's another dead end." Brandi says. "Not exactly," Peggy said as she  stood up from her lab chair.

"Coline do your parents buy the spring water locally?" "Yes but what does that change?" Coline asked. "Well," Peggy said as she started putting the pieces together. "All the local stores use the same bottled spring water, which happens to come from Valley Spring, which is the same place that Nelly and the three J's transformed, and if I'm not mistaken where the school gets its water.

"Are you saying I was right?" Brandi asks as her tail begins to wag. "Maybe," Peggy says, "But we won't know for sure till we can get a sample to test. Coline, where did you leave that water bottle?" "It's in the cafeteria, I'll go get it right now." Coline says as she bursts out the door as fast as her hoofed feet can take her.

Reaching the cafeteria Coline walks across the room to the table she left the bottle on. However she found the table had already been cleaned off. "I hope they didn't throw it out." Coline says as she heads over to the trash can. Looking around she finds it empty. "Dang it, well I better go tell the others we'll have to get another sample." Coline walks out almost bumping into a distracted Joey. "Sorry." She says as she walks off, failing to realize Joey is carrying a familiar looking water bottle…

A little later Joey is in P.E. standing in line as Coach Grey begins explaining the day's activity. "Today we're going to be practicing the long jump! Normally everyone would be graded by relative distance of the farthest jump, however with Chester in his current condition," Coach Grey said as he turned toward Chester, a student who had, had the luck of changing into a cheetah during track one day.

"I think everyone believes that would be unfair. Therefore I'll be giving Chester a handicap that being he cannot use a running start." "Like it matters." Chester whispers to Joey with a grin. "I don't know," Joey whispers back. "I'm pretty good at the long jump; I think I could beat you." "Really?" Chester asks. "How much you want to bet?"

"Well let's see," Joey said as he thought for a moment, "how about loser has to do the winners homework for a week." "Agreed" replied Chester. "Okay line up!" Coach Grey says. It was a few minutes till the two would get up to try the jump. Joey was beginning to get hot and thirsty.

He looked at the water bottle he had found in the cafeteria, it wasn't until later he found out it wasn't his and he normally wouldn't risky getting sick from drinking something someone else left, but he felt that if he didn't he wouldn't be able to breathe. "Chester you're up!" Coach Grey calls. "Chester takes his point and crouches down.

Releasing the energy in his legs he soars ahead. He land in the sand with a thud, and Coach Grey takes the official mark. "14 Feet 11 inches!" he calls, as a sigh comes from the crowd, even the best jumpers so far hadn't cleared the 8 foot mark. "I wasn't even trying." Chester brags as he walks past Joey.

A few more students tried, and no one came close to Chester's mark. Joey became more and more nervous, it became so hot, and he was so thirsty he didn't care what he caught from the water anymore. He grabbed the bottle and drank nearly half the bottle in 3 seconds.

"Joey You're up!" Coach Grey called. Joey walked to the starting point for his running start. "Just 15 feet, I just need to jump better. Joey began waited for Coach Grey's start signal, unaware that his body was already beginning to change.

"Ready, go!" Coach Grey yelled. Joey was off; even though it took seconds it seemed like an eternity. His short hair changed to a light tan shade, as it spread down his now changing face and body. Still focused on the jump Joey didn't even notice the long mussel that was now his face, or the way his now clawed hands and arms had thinned.

"Just 15 feet, Just 15 feet." Joey kept repeating in his head, even as the last changes where taking place. His now fur covered ears grew out, as the small of his back swelled, pushing his now growing legs to a higher body position. A few steps from the jump mat a long thick tail grows from behind Joey.

Reaching the platform Joey crouches down; his legs have now completely changed to a design more suitable for jumping. Joey's feet burst out of his shoes much longer and fur covered. His body has change so much it's a wonder his gym uniform hasn't completely fallen apart.

Still unaware of the changes Joey releases the power of his new legs, and soars across the sandbox. Finally landing with a thud, Joey waits for Coach Grey to make the official mark. However he notices that the other students as well as Coach Grey are all staring at him.

Finally looking down at himself, he can understand why. Jumping back with his new kangaroo legs sends Joey out of the sandbox and into a wall knocking him out…

"Hey Joey, Joey wake up!" Joey hears Chester saying as his eyes begin to open. "Joey are you okay?" Coach Grey asks. "How far was my jump?" Joey asks "Umm, 29 feet and 10 inches." Coach Grey says. "Really?!?" Joey asks as he springs to his feet with the use of his tail.

"At least it was." Coach Grey starts again. "But it wouldn't be fair to everyone if you didn't receive a handicap, therefore I deducted 15 feet from your total. Which puts you at 14 feet 10 inches." "Which means I win Roo-dude!" Chester brags in excitement. "That's right," Coach Grey says sarcastically, "And your big prize is to take Joey to the nurse. We don't want him getting a concussion."

Chester walked along as Joey hopped towards the door. "It'll take some time to get use to these legs. I can't wait to try them out more though." "Well your ganna have to roo-dude." Chester said as the two reached the hall. "Right after the nurse I got a lot of homework for you during study hall, and I expect you to Hop-to-it."

Chester laughed as they headed down the hall, "That's not funny." Is all Joey would say.

Will I ever tell you what's really going on? Maybe you'll just have to keep reading to find out…
Well here's Chapter 7 of TF High. For those of you who might have been looking for my usual title clue you have to know something about the name Kangaroo.

It just so happened, that when Europeans first saw the strange animal hopping around, they asked a local what it's name was. To which the local replied "Kangaroo." which roughly translates as "I'm sorry I don't understand."

well the name stuck and now we have tons of 'I'm sorry I don't understand"s hopping around Australia, and zoos around the world.

Hope you enjoy.
